The Center for Inclusive Child Care (CICC) is a centralized, comprehensive resource network supporting inclusive care for children in community settings. CICC provides free relationship-based professional development (RBPD) including support, training, modeling and resources to child care programs throughout Minnesota.

  • CICC serves more than 17,300 children each year
  • Over 600 early care & education professionals participate in CICC RBPD coaching services each year
  • 93% of providers surveyed reported strong satisfaction with coaching services

The CICC is funded by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) to continue developing two programs- an Infant Toddler Specialist Network (ITSN) for child care programs across Minnesota, as well as a coaching model for health and safety policies and practices within child care programs in Minnesota. The Inclusion Coaching Project is also being evaluated. Data collection and analysis is being conducted by an evaluator at The Center for Early Education and Development at the University of Minnesota. The summary results for each program are below.
