Parents Forever - Purdue Extension Families face many challenges and sometimes have to deal with transitions. Parents Forever © is an educational program for families experiencing divorce, separation, or a change in child custody. Participants will receive a certificate after completing the 4-hour in-person program or online course. The cost for either program format is $50. PATHWAYS OF EXPOSURE TO POTENTIALLY HARMFUL CHEMICALS During the 2009 legislative session, the Toxic Free Kids Act was passed and signed into law by the governor. This legislation requires the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) to create two lists of chemicals: one list called “Chemicals of High Concern” and one called “Priority Chemicals.”The Toxic Free Kids (TFK) program is housed in the Environmental Surveillance and Assessment Section within the Environmental Health Division and supports the MDH mission to protect, maintain, and improve the health of all Minnesotans.The Toxic Free Kids program has created a brief factsheet explaining toxic chemical exposures. It is available in English, Hmong, Somali, and Spanish.
Pathways RTC: Research and Training Center for Pathways to Positive Futures The Research and Training Center on Family Support and Children's Mental Health is dedicated to promoting effective community-based, culturally competent, family-centered services for families and their children who are, or may be affected by mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. This goal is accomplished through collaborative research partnerships with family members, service providers, policy makers, and other concerned persons.
