Center on Human Development and Disability University of Washington CHDD is one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive interdisciplinary research and training centers focusing on a wide array of developmental disabilities. More than 600 University of Washington faculty and staff members, as well as numerous doctoral and post-doctoral students, provide clinical services, interdisciplinary clinical and research training, and technical assistance and outreach training to community practitioners and community agencies. CHDD scientists and clinicians also conduct basic and applied research to generate new knowledge and disseminate information widely. Document
Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations of Early Learning The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) is focused on promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age 5. CSEFEL is a national resource center funded by the Office of Head Start and Child Care Bureau for disseminating research and evidence-based practices to early childhood programs across the country. Child Welfare Information Gateway Child Welfare Information Gateway promotes the safety, permanency, and well-being of children, youth, and families by connecting child welfare, adoption, and related professionals as well as the public to information, resources, and tools covering topics on child welfare, child abuse and neglect, out-of-home care, adoption, and more. A service of the Children's Bureau, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, we provide access to print and electronic publications, websites, databases, and online learning tools for improving child welfare practice, including resources that can be shared with families. Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity The Children and Adults with Attention/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) website provides comprehensive information related ADHD. Information is available regarding organization membership, fact sheets, legislative information, research information, conference info, FAQ sheets and an online magazine. Spanish translation of IDEA and ADA is also available. Website
Children's Hospitals and Clinics The Children's Hospitals and Clinics website is an extensive site from Minnesota Children's Hospitals for both families and professionals. The site includes information on hospital stays, locations, services, and specific programming. The site also features Dr. Plain Talk who will answer common questions regarding children's health, many resources and phone numbers for families. The site translates in Spanish, Somali, and Hmong. Children's Mental Health Fact Sheets The Minnesota Association for Children's Mental Health has recently released their newly-updated facts sheets from the most recent edition of An Educator's Guide to Children's Mental Health. These fact sheets provide clear descriptions of children's mental health disorders for parents, educators, and others who work with children.Note: To access the free fact sheets, you will need to log in to the MACMH website or sign up to become a FREE email list subscriber.  Website
